Articles - Technical Optimisation

Articles that explain some of the technical nuances
When I first got involved with the internet, way back in 1997 there was so much
that seemed foreign and alien to me. It was really very helpful to work with people who knew what they were talking
about and who gave me their support.
My background is a mixture of technical and marketing which makes me a bit of an oddball I
guess. Albeit one who hopefully understands when and where to focus for the best outcome.
From my experience a web strategy should include these elements;
- Design
- Technical
- Marketing
As a general rule most business owners get very wrapped up in the overal design and then
wonder why their beautiful website isn't delivering what they thought it would deliver.
The thing to remember though is that it's not your fault that your website doesn't do what
you expected it to do.
It's almost impossible for any one person to know and be expert in every area. It's almost as
hard to know who to trust and who not to trust.
It's my belief that trust should be earned and like any relationship it should be allowed to
develop over time. No fuss, no heavy sales techniques, just a natural development based on trust and
understanding.
